AP 2-D Art and Design 2022-2023

Sustained Investigation Statement:
How does trauma affect my perception of myself and my surroundings? The struggle of moving forward leaves me trapped in an inescapable nightmare, which I’d like to examine through distortion of self-image/ worldview using filters. I wish to probe the depths of my paranoia through chaotic composition, movement, and progression. Using myself as a subject, I want to explore the effect of color or lack thereof to authentically represent the visceral emotions I portray in their turbulent environments. How do my emotions change my reality? How do they create multiple layers that warp the truth?
